We invite you to join us for a blessing of the land. We will dum, dance together, make offerings and share small bites.
Join us as we officially open up the season on
Sunday April 6th 1130a-130pm at Mumbet's Freedom Farm.
We will be joined by Sister Noel and Krista Love bringing the healing vibrations of drum, dance and song to the land. We will also be making an offering to the land, so if you are planning to attend, bring sweets, flowers to add to the ofrenda. We will have tea and light snacks afterwards.
Noel Staples Freeman, affectionately known as Sis. Noel, is a dedicated educator, performer, and cultural ambassador based in Pittsfield, MA. Raised in Dorchester, MA, she holds a B.S. in Children’s Theatre/Performing Arts and Dance from Emerson College (1987) and brings over 40 years of experience teaching and performing in communities both locally and abroad.
Krista Speroni of True Foods HV, TRUE FOODS is a grassroots, food preservation collective based in the mid-Hudson Valley, NY (unceded land of the Lenape & Mohican people). In an effort to invite more care to our spaces and honor our interconnected existence we ask that you stay home if you feel sick, suspect you have been exposed to COVID-19 within the past 10 days, are recovering from COVID-19 and/or live/share indoor space with someone who currently has COVID-19 in order to minimize spread.
We will have PPE ( Personal Protective Equipment ) available and will be outdoors for the entire event. Please test at home the day of the event. We will also have tests onsite for those who need
